Identify the historical version before naming a font
LEGO’s history explains that the 1973 redesign retained the earlier square format, removed the LEGO System wording and five stripes, and tightened the rounded letters. White lettering received black and yellow outlines. The company dates that treatment to 1973–1998. This establishes the version discussed here and some construction choices, but it does not name an original font family or authorize a downloadable alphabet. Later refinements of the logo should be researched as separate artwork.

View fontSeparate rounded letter shapes from outline effects
For an original toy or construction heading, start with a plain rounded alphabet and inspect its counters at a small size. Add outlines only after the word is spaced well. Multiple contours change the apparent gap between letters and can close small openings. Compare a flat monochrome setting with an outlined version, then test longer words than the brand name that inspired the project. Keep secondary labels simpler, and use your own name and design rather than copying the distinctive logo arrangement.
Licensed options with different shapes
MyFonts lists VAG Rounded from Linotype. It can provide a rounded commercial direction for an independent design, but it is not attributed here to the LEGO logo. Confirm the desired weight and license for your intended use. Roboto and Inter are free supporting-text comparisons rather than close rounded-logo matches. Their plain forms can help you assess legibility beside a playful headline. FindFont’s specimens use reviewed open-license files; neither a font license nor these suggestions grants use of LEGO’s trademark image.
